01 / PERMANENT MAGNETIC CHUCK

A practical magnetic foundation for precise workholding.

You may need more contact, better access or a different mounting footprint—not just another catalog size. Begin with your workpiece, then select the holding surface and structure.

02 / HOW IT WORKS

What is a permanent magnetic chuck?

A permanent magnetic chuck uses permanent magnets to create a magnetic field through its working surface. With a suitable ferromagnetic workpiece in contact, that field produces holding force. A mechanical ON/OFF mechanism is commonly used to switch the circuit between holding and release states.

Because the holding field does not require ongoing power, these chucks are useful for many surface grinding and precision holding tasks. The actual holding performance still depends on the material, contact area, air gap, surface finish and the forces generated by your operation.

01Material mattersThe part must be sufficiently magnetic; many non-ferrous materials cannot be held directly.
02Contact mattersFlatness, surface condition and effective pole coverage affect real holding performance.
03Process mattersCutting loads and lift or sliding forces must be checked before selection.

CASE / PRECISION GRINDING

Large flat steel plates with tight flatness control

This type of project needs even contact, stable support and predictable release during grinding. The selected permanent magnetic chuck has to balance holding reliability with grinding accuracy.

This case shows how workpiece geometry, machining process and contact area directly affect the holding strategy. Before publication, replace the concept content with your verified project photos, actual data and confirmed customer scope.

12 / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions before your project starts.

Straight answers about company type, OEM customization, production, verification, delivery and support.

01Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?+

We operate as an integrated manufacturing and trading business, coordinating engineering, production, quality checks and international delivery. The specific production steps and facilities for your order can be explained during project review.

02Can you produce OEM or custom permanent magnetic chucks?+

Custom sizes, pole layouts, mounting patterns and workpiece supports can be assessed from your drawing. The feasible configuration, tolerances and acceptance criteria must be agreed before production.

03How long does production and delivery take?+

Lead time depends on the selected design, material availability, machining requirements, verification and destination. We provide an estimated schedule after confirming your specifications rather than promising a fixed lead time for every project.

04What testing and reports can you provide?+

Depending on the ordered configuration, relevant evidence may include magnetic field checks, holding tests with stated conditions, dimensional inspection and operational verification. Ask us which original records will be supplied with your project.

05What after-sales support is available?+

We can coordinate installation information, operating guidance, technical questions and replacement-part requests, subject to the support terms agreed for your order.

06What information is needed for an accurate quotation?+

Send the workpiece drawing or dimensions, material grade, machine model and table interface, operation, contact area and any special mounting, safety or performance requirements.

07Can a permanent magnetic chuck be used for milling?+

Some light machining applications may be technically feasible, but lateral cutting forces, workpiece contact, support and mechanical stops require engineering assessment. A magnetic chuck should not be selected on nominal holding-force data alone.
